Oncological physiotherapy

 

Oncological physiotherapy is specifically aimed at movement problems as a consequence of cancer. These problems can be the result of the disease itself or of medical treatment.

 

Examples are: tough scar tissue, skin changes, lymph oedema (excess fluid), decreased movement in the joints, tiredness, loss of fitness, stress complaints and pain. Physical therapy can be used in all phases of the disease.
